In vivo biogenesis of a de novo designed iron-sulfur protein

Figure 1: A graphical representation of Hydrogen production using nanowires: A monolayer of designed FeS protein is coated on to biochip, which constitutes the nanowires of the chip. Hydrogenase enzyme is adhered to the extreme right end of the chip, which receives the electrons from the FeS proteins, which then reduces 2 protons to make molecular hydrogen, a source of clean energy. The inset on the left is the zoomed image of an isolated artificial FeS Protein.
